Voices of the Valley

Voices of the Valley, a Cannon Valley Trail interpretive program is planned to assist a visitor’s understanding and exploration of the Cannon River Valley and also provides educational and entertaining programs for Trail users. 

Programs take place on Saturdays during the months of  May through September from 11am-2 pm  at Cannon Valley Trail Welch Station Access.   This location can be accessed by driving if you’d like to enjoy the events, but aren’t able to bike there. Feel free to bring lawn chairs and come to listen to the music. Social distancing will be observed and recommended.

Topics may include – Archeology, Geology, Native American Studies, Railroad History, Tree Talk, Wildflowers, or other Natural and Cultural programs. 

Saturday, September 30 – Last event of the Year~

Trail favorite Lee Mensinger of Red Wing will entertain on guitar with a variety of folk and Americana standards.

Clean River Partners will also be on hand with an information table. The weather looks great this weekend so come on down and catch the beautiful fall colors of the Cannon River Valley.

These events are held at the Welch Station access, a beautiful spot located 9.6 miles on the trail from Cannon Falls and very near to Welch.

Local musicians enjoy sharing their talents with you, sit and listen a while. Refreshments are donated by area businesses.

Everyone is invited to these events, not just bikers. Please note throughout the season some Voices of the Valley programs may be cancelled due to inclement weather.
