❄️ Trail Condition Update: Cannon Valley Trail

Date: March 16, 2026

Fresh Powder Alert!

The predicted storm has delivered, and the trail is currently covered in 10 inches of fresh snow.

While it looks like a winter wonderland out there, please keep in mind that per Cannon Valley Trail policy, formal grooming operations for the season officially concluded on March 15.

What this means for you: The trail will not be groomed following this recent snowfall. However, we aren’t closing the gates! Skiers are more than welcome to visit and “blaze your own trail” through the deep powder. It’s a great day for a rugged, off-track experience.

Open for Skiing: Mile 1 (Archie Swenson Fields Access) to Mile 13.5.

Walking Only Segment: Mile 17.5 (Silvernale) to Mile 19.7 (Old West Main). This section is plowed and not groomed for skiing.
CLOSED for Construction: Mile 13.5 to Mile 17.5. Please respect all posted signage.

MN DNR Ski Pass Required

A Greater MN Ski Pass is required for anyone 16 years or older to cross-country ski on the CVT.

Refund/Return/Cancellation Policies

Wheel passes purchases will not be refunded. Exchange for another day may be approved through the Trail office.

T-shirts may be returned /exchanged for another size or color. Please contact info@cannonvalley.com for information.

Cancellation of Group Events can be done up to the day of the event.
